Privacy policy

The short version: we only collect what you send us, we use it to reply to you, and we never sell it.

This policy explains how Software Chefs ([legal entity to be confirmed], ABN [to be confirmed]) handles personal information collected through this website. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you fill in our contact form we collect:

  • your first and last name
  • your email address
  • your company name
  • your phone number, if you choose to give it
  • the service you're interested in, and anything else you choose to tell us

If you email us directly, we collect whatever you include in your email.

Why we collect it

We use your details to reply to you, arrange a chat and, if we end up working together, to manage that relationship. We won't add you to a marketing list without your permission.

Where it's stored

Contact form submissions are stored in HubSpot, the customer relationship management (CRM) service we use. HubSpot may store and process information outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to make sure the services we use protect your information.

We don't sell your data

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share it with the services we need to run our business (such as our CRM), or where the law requires it.

Cookies and analytics

This website doesn't set cookies, and we don't currently use analytics or advertising tracking. When you send the contact form, your details go straight to HubSpot. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers when you visit. If we add analytics in future, we'll update this policy.

Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@softwarechefs.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
